ESPN should show this in the not top ten every week. It's that bad.

Back on January 4, 2007 the Dallas Stars were taking on the Edmonton Oilers. Twenty seconds left in the game and the Stars are up by one. A player on the Edmonton Oilers whiffed on the puck allowing Dallas Star Patrik Stefan to get the puck. All he had to do was tap in the puck to secure the win.

Remember 'Happy Gilmore', 'Just tap it, just give it a little tappy. Tap, tap-tap-a-roo.' That's all he had to do. I have no idea what happened next. It looks like he is going to just tap it and completely misses the puck. Stefan falls flat on his butt and the Oilers recover. At this point, nine seconds left in the game.

Nine seconds, the Stars can play defense for NINE SECONDS. Ales Hemsky gets an amazing pass and scores with just three seconds left in the game. It's all good, the Stars would end up winning the game in a shootout after overtime. Still, it's the worst blooper I have ever seen in my life and it's my favorite hockey team.
