As Wednesday (March 13) progressed, more and more rockers expressed their admiration and love of late Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, who passed away Tuesday night (March 12). The musician, who was part of the classic Iron Maiden lineup, suffered from multiple sclerosis in the later portion of his life, but still remained in contact with his former bandmates.
As Slayer are currently on the road with the 2012 Mayhem Festival, guitarist Kerry King has given fans a bit more info about Slayer’s next album, which could see a release as soon as early 2013. The guitarist, who also provides lyrics for the band, is hoping to get some work done while on tour before hitting the studio once again at the conclusion of the touring Mayhem Fest.

Good news, Slayer fans: Your long wait for new music is almost over. The band has announced plans to head into the studio next month to start laying down tracks for their twelfth studio album, and first since 2009′s ‘World Painted Blood.’
If you’ve been hoping and praying that the Big 4 will soon be playing a full U.S. tour, you might want to lower your expectations and be happy with that DVD of the Sonisphere show from Sofia, Bulgaria. In a recent interview with UK’s Classic Rock magazine, Slayer guitarist Kerry King said he can’t imagine Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will stage any more Big 4 shows.
Slayer and Christmas don't exactly go hand and hand but what the hell - any excuse to crank some Slayer in the office and subject people who don't know Slayer from Nickelback to the greatness of the band is a good one.
We all get a little stressed from time to time but unfortunately we don't all have the ability to wail like a friggin' banshee like Tom Araya to assist in venting those frustrations.
But once again the interwebs gives us the ability to live vicariously through those of extraordinary talents.
