April 21, 2012 Pro skater Mike Vallely's company Elephant Brand Skateboards is putting out a Dimebag Darrell Tribute skateboard in collaboration with Dimebag Hardware.
Just a week after the unreleased Pantera song ‘Piss’ hit radio stations, another unheard piece of the late Dimebag Darrell‘s legacy arrives in the form of ‘Twisted’ — a song the legendary guitarist wrote and recorded that is helping to launch a new line of Dimebag Darrell tribute skateboards.
The lineup for the second annual DimeBash has been announced. The show is a tribute to the late, great guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott, who tragically was gunned down seven years ago today, Dec. 8, in Ohio while doing what he loved most: playing guitar. He was performing with his post-Pantera band Damageplan when a disturbed fan opened fire at close range and shot him.
Ride For Dime is now in its 6th year, and I cant believe that I did not hear/make it down to DFW for this kick ass event sooner! The whole experience was something I never expected to turn out as, well as totally a neck wrecking, bug swallowing, hot as hell, full of metal loving rockers, good ass time! I could have took a picture every second of that day and even then they still would not do this "rally' proper justice. Ive included a slew of my favs from the ride and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them!
One of the most talented and gifted musicians of the century, screw that, of all time was taken from us WAYYY to young and early in life. With the "metaliscious " history of jams Dimebag left us with, and shindigs like this, he may be gone but he will NEVER be forgotten. LONG LIVE DIME!!!
