Stryker’s Restaurant Review: Back Porch Draft House
Trying to get me to try something new is seriously like pulling teeth. I decided to mix it up this weekend with the new restaurant in town, Back Porch Draft House.
The first thing I do when I go to a restaurant is look at the beers on tap. My goodness the selection is amazing at Back Porch. It is up there with Iron Horse with having such a vast selection of draft beer, but here is where they blew me away: Arrogant Bastard Ale on tap in Wichita Falls (insert heavenly music chimes). Someone correct me if I am wrong, but this is the only place in Wichita Falls where you can get Arrogant Bastard on TAP.
Let me start by saying this place was slammed when we went in. It didn’t seem like people waited long for a table at all, but I decided we should just sit at the bar. You already know what beer I went with, now let’s get to the food. Good menu with some cool burger and sandwich selections. Scrolling through something caught my eye, The Riley on Fire burger. Only eat it if you dare, it says. Well of course I had to try it.
It was a very good burger, but not overwhelmingly spicy at all. This is coming from someone that uses three bottles of hot sauce a week though. The fries they serve were actually my favorite part. They were thin, crispy and had a special seasoning on them. I had a great time this past weekend and will definitely be going back at some point.
Go hit them up at 4214 Kell boulevard, its where El Diablo’s burritos used to be. Keep up with Back Porch by liking them on Facebook.
