Like 'em or not, a new Meshuggah album is nothing less than a significant event in the world of metal. The band continues to expand their sound while never disappointing their core and Koloss is more of the same but this time around they've outdone themselves as in it's one of their catchiest releases in my opinion.

I've always dug the hypnotic vibe of Meshuggah and admittedly I lean toward progressive stuff which you'll find plenty of on Koloss so this album (like most of theirs) is an outright winner for me.

Stream the beast at the band's own

Koloss drops Tuesday, March 26 on Nuclear Blast Records.
