Pitcher Forgets He’s Not Playing Hockey and Checks Runner to Keep Him from Scoring [VIDEO]
March 4, 2013 4:48 PM Baseball tends to be a low-scoring sport so I can’t blame a pitcher for doing everything in his power to keep a runner from scoring. Sure, it’s against the rules to throw your body into a runner to keep him from crossing the plate and yes, a massive bench-clearing brawl almost ensued but you can’t deny the whole damn thing is pretty entertaining.
Since we’re on the subject of mixing two sports together that have no business being combined, we used to play a game called Texas Basketball when I was a kid. Just think football mixed with basketball and played on a hardwood court. It was very painful.
