North Texas Woman Chained Up and Treated Like a Slave for Almost Two Weeks
A kidnapping turned into a nightmare for this poor lady.
Just South of Dallas in Ellis County, police were tipped off about a woman being held against her will inside of a residence in the city of Ovilla. The local police department found a woman in the house. She said she was drugged, kidnapped and was being held against her will.
The woman's identity has not been revealed. She told police the two people in the house handcuffed, shackled and chained her to a bed in their residence and forced her to work for almost two weeks. Those two people were Jean-Claude Demars, 51, and Ovilla resident Charlotte Kelly Demars, 48. They were officially charged with kidnapping on Friday.
The woman who was kidnapped was able to reach individuals on the outside through a messaging app. The woman was not from that area and was from the Metroplex. The investigation is still ongoing and police are trying to figure out if there is some bigger human trafficking going on.
Jean-Claude Demars and Charlotte Kelly Demars are still in custoday in a dentention center and are each being held on $150,000 bonds.
