Last week, University of Texas Head Football coach Charlie Strong invited Oscar-winning actor and U.T. grad Matthew McConaughey to talk to the team during one of their practices.

Even though he promised not to preach, McConaughey couldn't help but be himself when he delivered a speech that even the greatest of football coaches would admire. The actor urged players to ask themselves, "Why do I play this game? Why am I doing this? Why do I come out to practice? Why am I out here busting my ass in the middle of the heat every day?"

As a Longhorn fan, that speech is just another reason to love one of my favorite actors of all-time.
