Nick Menza laid down the beat for Megadeth as part of the band's most successful lineup from 1989-1998. Along with mainman Dave Mustaine, current bassist Dave Ellefson and former guitarist Marty Friedman, the band released classics like Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction before the traditionally unpredictable Mr. Mustaine let Nick know that his services were no longer needed.

Even though he recorded a solo album, Life After Deth, Nick kept a relatively low profile in the years after Megadeth. He spent some time in a couple of bands along the way and did some session work but he obviously didn't enjoy the same success he experienced as drummer for Megadeth.

Here we are in 2013 and Nick appears ready to make a comeback. He's playing drums on a track from Croatian thrashers Sufosia's upcoming album, has several other projects either in the can or in the works and he's hired management to help him get back out there and do what he does best. The skinsman hit me up for the August 10 edition of the Oath to get us up to speed on all things Menza and you can listen to the interview below.
