Not for the faint of heart, Wicked Andy’s Insane Acres is, without a doubt, the best place in the Wichita Falls area to get your scare on. Located right outside of town in Charlie, Texas, the Insane Acres story goes like this:
“Come and see if you are brave enough for The Insane Acres featuring Dr. Price Karter aka (Dr. Morpheus) who was an renowned scientist that was incarcerated for his gruesome experiments on humans creating human and animal hybrids. Released in 2013 and now with his cannibalistic family he is rumored to reside in Charlie, Texas. Let’s be honest, we all watch ‘Walking Dead‘ and think we can survive a Zombie apocalypse. Well here’s your chance to prove it to your friends. The crawl – gather in zombie costumes and “crawl” through downtown – is free, but if you’re feeling frisky you can run in the D1E-K (a 2-mile fun run) as well. All runners will be on the mission to find the cure. Runners’ waves will leave every half hour. You will be briefed, transported to the drop off location, and will run the course with our SEAL Team Sick. The run is shorter this year and will provide more of an apocalyptic experience with a realistic scenario that plays out over the run.
This year, the Crawl will be a Crawl-NIVAL – a haunted carnival theme with a fire eater, stilt walker, hula hooper, and of course, lots of fair food. There will also be a rib eating contest, costume contest, specialty vendors, dance mob by Dance Etc., and midway games. Everyone is encouraged to dress in their creepiest clown, mangled magician or sick sideshow act costumes.
Date: October 31
Times: Start – 4:30pm | Crawl – 6:30pm | D1E-K – 7:15pm
Price: Zombie Crawl – FREE | D1E-K – $25
