Green Day’s Billy Joe Armstrong Hospitalized [VIDEO]

Green Day were about to wrap up their European tour on Sunday night in Bologna, Italy, when they cancelled their set. The band announced that Billie Joe Armstrong had been rushed to the hospital and admitted, though it’s not been stated what he was sick with.

Some reports claim that Armstrong may have been suffering from gastric problems, but whatever the cause, fans stirred up problems at the hospital by trying to visit him. During that time, band mates Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool posted a video to the web, apologizing for the show cancellation.

Now it’s being reported that Armstrong checked himself out of the hospital on Monday, though there’s still no official word as to what he was there for.
