Is this the future of music videos?

Well I learned some things today from this video. Megadeth had the first band website, ever. That's pretty freaking cool. That's bragging rights that no one can take away from you. Megadeth will be the first in a technological way once again. This time, we will be experiencing their new music video in virtual reality.

Yesterday, Megadeth released a special CD edition of their album 'Dystopia'. Along with the album, is a cardboard cutout, for a makeshift virtual reality headset. “It’s like cool metal origami,” Mustaine says. You will be able to check out the band playing five different songs.

Experiencing virtual reality, you should be able to look around the environment and get a real front row perspective. “You almost have to reinvent yourself every CD, every DVD. Every offering of product that you give to the audience, you have to do something new — quicker, better, faster, grander, more. And this is about as new, quicker, better, faster, grander as you can get right now. I don’t know anyone else doing this exact thing right now,” said Mustaine.
