Area residents are invited for the dedication of the City’s new Animal Services Center.
The new center, is 11994 square feet with 44 dog kennels (10 for quarantine), 39 cat cages (12 for isolation and 9 for quarantine), a room for exotic animals, a livestock pen, offices, reception area, animal “get acquainted rooms, indoor garage for the unloading of animals, animal check-in area, surgery room and work stations, showers and a locker room for Animal Control Officers.
The location of the center was chosen to provide convenient access for the citizens of Wichita Falls.
All animal control services will be located in this facility as well as reclaim services for animals picked up by animal control. The facility will also be the new location for owner release animals for citizens located in the City of Wichita Falls.
