Going under? Evanescence is back to save you.

The quintet marked their return to music today (August 14) with the announcement of their next studio album, Synthesis, an orchestral undertaking that will feature an original rendition of the band's beloved tracks.

"This is a total passion project for me. There are so many layers in our music, underneath the huge drums and guitars," front woman Amy Lee spoke of the band’s latest exploration with arrangements and programming elements provided by composer David Campbell. “This will be our first time touring with an orchestra and I'm so excited to perform this way-really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we've built over the years.”

In addition to the release of their first studio project in six years, the band is also scheduled to launch their nationwide “Synthesis Live” tour in the U.S. beginning October 14. Tickets for the tour are expected to go on-sale as early as this week — VIP pre-sales starting tomorrow, August 15, and general on-sale tickets this Friday, August 18.

As an added offering to VIP ticket buyers, those fans will also receive exclusive songs ahead of the record’s release in Fall 2017, including a special version of their most ethereal hit to date “Bring Me To Life.”
