Disney Planning ‘Star Wars’ Themed Lands at Disney World and Disney Land

Disney already has 'Star Wars' rides at both parks, but it's about to get even better. 

D23 is the annual Disney convention. Think of it as comic con for Disney stuff. It's the time where Disney makes all their huge announcements for the future of the parks, movies and television. The biggest news was the expansion at BOTH American theme parks for 'Star Wars' lands.

They will be 14 acre areas, which will be the largest single land Disney expansion ever. Disney CEO Bob Iger also said that the Star Wars land will be "every bit as thrilling as the films" and will include attractions and entertainment in an area populated by aliens and droids. There will also be a Cantina and the chance to take control of the Millennium Falcon.

One adventure also promises to put guests "in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance." As of right now, Disney has the one Star Tours ride, which is one of my favorites at Disney World. I am super excited for this. Hopefully, one day I get to check it out.
