St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. Break out your finest green, grab the family, and head downtown for the St. Patrick’s Day Downtown Festival. There’s plenty of celebrating to be done right here in Wichita Falls! There's a full day of activities planned for March 15.

Festivities start with the St. Patrick’s Day Downtown Dash, a 5K that will get your blood pumping for the big day. Runners are encouraged to dress in green from head-to-toe, with a prize being given out for best costume. The first place finisher will also take home a custom beer stein, and a pot-o-gold found on the race route may score you gift cards and goodies from area businesses! The race starts at 10:00am with registration opening at 8:30am. Save money and sign up early!

Doors open later for the Downtown Festival, which takes place from 4:30pm – 10:30pm on the corner of 8th and Indiana. Here you can expect food, drinks, a children’s stage, bounce houses, a craft area, and more! Your ears will be treated to live music from the chart-topping band Blue October, with Cody Canada and the Departed and Irish folk singer Martin Byrnes opening the celebration.

For those who want to make the night last a little longer, the Iron Horse Pub will also have their doors open for more drinks and music when the event is over.

Save some money and get your tickets early at the Sheppard AFB ITT Office, Market Street, United, the Iron Horse Pub, the Downtown Wichita Falls Development Office, or online.
