Black Sabbath is enjoying their comeback; they have a new album out, a tour in support of the album and now, a haunted house exhibit. The band will be opening a completely original 3D maze titled “Black Sabbath: 13 3D.” The maze will open as part of Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights, which runs September 20 thru November 2.

“We were all really excited when Universal Studios Hollywood approached us about doing a 3D ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ maze based on our music. I’ve seen the drawings of what it will look like when it’s finished and it looks amazing. I can’t wait to walk through it on opening night in September,” Black Sabbath front man Ozzy Osbourne said.

The maze is based on some of Black Sabbath's darkest lyrics from some of their biggest hits. The exhibit will also be the only haunted house at the park to utilize 3D video, which will use scenes inspired by Sabbath's latest album 13. Visitors will have a chance to meet Lucifer and his bride, see piles of dead, bloody bodies and navigate their way around pools of boiling 'radioactive water,' all while rocking out to Black Sabbath hits like “Iron Man”, “Paranoid”, “War Pigs”, “Electric Funeral” and “Black Sabbath,” that is if their brave enough to enter.

Creative Director for Universal Studios Hollywood John Murdy said, “Very few bands can claim to have defined a genre of music but Black Sabbath’s remarkable influence in the evolution of heavy metal will go down in history. Tony Iommi’s dark, iconic riffs, Ozzy Osbourne’s haunting vocals and Geezer Butler’s foreboding lyrics provide the perfect soundtrack for ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ and endless inspiration for our new haunted attraction Black Sabbath 13 3D.”

And while tons of people are sure to flock for the Black Sabbath maze, there are also a ton of other great haunted houses that will be open in the park, including a Walking Dead and Evil Dead haunted houses. Road trip anybody?
