Sometimes you need something fun to spice up your work day. For some teachers at Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School in Worcester, Massachusetts, they made their own fun with a video that’s gone viral. Mike Penny, a history teacher at the school, convinced students to talk to him on camera, but the students weren’t aware that staff were dancing behind them until the video was seen at the school’s annual film festival.

It’s a lot of fun to watch and some of the moves aren’t even that bad. The big question is, were your teachers this much fun?

I remember being in high school and thinking that a few of my teachers were pretty stiff, but thinking back, most of them would probably have gotten involved in something like this. Then when I think more about it, some of them would have been hilarious.

As I got older, I was fortunate to get to know some of my past teachers in a different way. It’s easy to have an idea of what you think an educator is like, especially when you’re younger and think they’re old and don’t know what they’re talking about. My favorite conversation with a past teacher was a woman who taught history at my junior high school. I was in one of her very first classes when she began teaching, and years later I asked her, “Did you ever think, all those years ago, that someday we’d be in the bar having a drink?” To which she replied, “No!”

I’m liking this video. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.
