We're just over two weeks out from the December 18 release of the new Baroness album, "Purple", and the band were gracious enough to give us another taste of what's to come.
As reported yesterday (Aug. 15), the band Baroness were involved in a horrifying bus accident in England that left several people injured, including the band members themselves. Now, details of the injuries sustained by each of the band members and their crew, as well as the bus driver, have been released.
New albums from Hellyeah, Tremonti and Baroness have debuted in the upper echelon of the Billboard 200 album chart in their opening week of release. Hellyeah’s ‘Band of Brothers’ lands at No. 19 while Tremonti’s ‘All I Was’ cracks the chart at No 29 and Baroness take the No. 36 spot with their new disc ‘Yellow & Green.’
The latest track to surface from the upcoming Baroness album Yellow & Green is a big ol' six minute plus opus called "Eula" and you can stream the goodness right here.
Not that it should come as any surprise because Baroness have always teetered between playing hard rock and heavy metal, but it looks like Yellow & Green will be a pure rock record and I'm okay with that.
This week I'm going with Kvelertak's self-titled debut album. The band offers an interesting mix of modern metal, black metal and punk and it works so well for me. The best way I can describe their style is if a band like Baroness or Mastodon were from Norway this is probably how they would sound...
