Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. The truck driver was checked out by emergency workers and didn’t have any major injuries. No other cars were involved, which was lucky, considering how crowded Dallas roads can get.
Truck Slams Into Dallas Overpass
So, what caused the crash? That’s still being investigated, but there’s a good chance the truck was too tall for the bridge. Most overpasses have height limits, and there are usually signs warning drivers ahead of time. But sometimes truck drivers miss those signs, or their GPS systems don’t give them the right directions. It’s also possible the truck was carrying something that made it taller than usual.

The Texas Department of Transportation, also known as TxDOT, is now working to figure out how much repair work is needed. If the bridge is badly damaged, it could take days or even weeks to fix. That means drivers might have to deal with traffic jams and detours for a while.
For now, drivers in Dallas are being told to avoid the area if they can. Signs and traffic alerts are being used to help people find different ways to get where they’re going.
