That fauxhawk you’ve been sporting does nothing when standing next to Kazuhiro Watanabe. He’s going down in the Guinness Book of World Records as having the world’s tallest Mohawk.

At 3’ 8.6” tall, the Japanese designer’s hair seems to defy gravity. To achieve that look, it took three cans of hairspray and a bottle of gel. It probably also took a load of patience, plus the 15 years it took to grow it out.

When asked about why he set out to break this record, Watanabe responded:

I really wanted to be in the Guinness World Record book. I considered trying to set the record for drinking most tabasco sauce.

Clearly that idea has gone by the wayside, but he has some competition on the horizon. His daughter says she wants to someday beat his record.
