Worker’s Busted for Stealing an Insane Amount of Bourbon Over Several Years

Don't steal from where you work people. Also, this is enough bourbon to get a small town wasted.

Working for a liquor company maybe pretty cool. I got to imagine you probably get a free bottle from time to time. That does not mean you can just steal from the company without asking. Also I don't think the company is hooking you up with an entire barrel of liquor for you to drink. Well some workers had been getting away with stealing barrels of bourbon since about 2008.

The amount of whiskey the nine guys had been stealing is estimated to be around $100,000. All nine are charged with engaging in organized crime as members of a criminal syndicate. The two companies hit were Buffalo Trace and Wild Turkey.

“You had some rogue employees who took advantage of both the trust of their companies and their knowledge of the security measures to steal the barrels and bottles of bourbon from these two distilleries,” said Zachary M. Becker, an assistant Franklin County prosecutor.

I have to imagine the sentencing for this is going to be pretty severe for this because of how much they stole over several years. We will see how this all plays out, but once again folks. Don't steal from your company, especially $100,000 worth of stuff.
