Woman Gets Husband’s Chilling 9/11 Note 10 Years After World Trade Center Attacks
This is pretty unsettling. A man named Randy Scott was trapped inside the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and before he died, he scribbled a note asking for help and threw it out an open window. The note read: "84th Floor. West office. 12 People trapped."
Just before the towers collapsed, someone on the ground found Randy's note. The note was then passed around for 10 years until finally DNA testing confirmed that a spot of blood on the note belonged to Randy Scott.
Last year, on the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, the note made it's way to Denise Scott, Randy's wife. Denise said, "The minute I saw it I didn't need to see the DNA test. I saw the handwriting. It's Randy's handwriting."
Before receiving this note, Denise says that for 10 years she and her family had held onto the thought that Randy wasn't trapped in the building and died instantly after flight 175 flew into the tower near where Randy's office was located. Denise said, "I spent 10 years hoping that Randy wasn't trapped in that building. You don't want them to suffer. They're trapped in a burning building. It's just an unspeakable horror. And then you get this 10 years later. It just changes everything."
Denise has agreed to put the note in a museum at the 9/11 memorial.
