I would prefer to go through life without an arrest or two on my record. Even more important, that if I were to ever get arrested it wouldn't make the news because it was ridiculous.

In Michigan recently, a woman was arrested for shoplifting at a Meijer store. Shoplifting isn't a strange arrest, since people are charged with it every day. Jerrie Perkins made it interesting because she's severly obese and needs the assistance of a motorized cart.

I can picture the scene in my head now - After stuffing an item into her purse, she takes off at 1mph, weaving in and out of other shoppers. An employee spots her and tries to stop her. Undeterred, the woman cackles and ups her speed to 1.5mph.

Here's where things went really bad. After hitting and shoving an employee, Perkins became lodged in the doorway out. Not able to go backward or forward, a sheriff's deputy entered the picture. Perkins cursed at him and made a fist, prompting him to taser her.

Oh, I wish I had been there to see it.

Have you ever seen those special episodes of COPS that has nothing but criminals being tased? My husband and I enjoy those episodes. Maybe a security camera tape will make its way to the COPS offices someday.
