Winnipeg Jets Goalie Chris Mason’s Gonna Be Sportin’ An Iron Maiden Inspired Mask This Season [PHOTOS]

In what amounts to some serious badassery, Winnipeg Jets goalie Chris Mason will be wearing a mask inspired by Iron Maiden for the 2011-2012 NHL season. The mask is basically the artwork to the single for "Aces High" and was designed by Steve Nash of Eyecandyair.

Mason talked to InGoal Magazine about the mask:

We went back and forth, lots of phone calls, and I sent Steve some sketches and he did some art and sent him back and we mulled over a bunch of different ideas, and then he came up with the Iron Maiden Eddie in the old fighter jet and I thought it was perfect and I loved the image and thought that was really appropriate for the Jets.
