The Wichita Falls Police Department is looking for women and men who are interested in a career in law enforcement, and actively recruiting individuals to attend the 66th Police Academy.

As a Police Officer for the City of Wichita Falls, you’ll be a member of a department that is recognized by the Texas Police Chief Association as a professional organization. You will be working with other men and women dedicated to protecting and helping the citizens of our community.

Chief of Police, Manuel Borrego says, "The goal of the Wichita Falls Police Department is to create safer neighborhoods and business districts for our visitors and residents to live, work, and enjoy. The police department’s employees accomplish this goal daily by using proven best practices aided by cutting edge equipment and technology; which helps us in our efforts to better serve and protect our community."

The entrance test will be given on September 7, 2013. Applicants must complete applications on-line by August 30, 2013.  Computers at the city Human Resource Office may be used to complete on-line registration if needed.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, drug free, a U.S. Citizen, and have no felony or major misdemeanor convictions
