Why Did Michael Phelps Burst Out Laughing During the National Anthem? [VIDEO]

Only people from Maryland know why.

Michael Phelps is dominating the Olympics once again. Americans are proud he is winning all these gold medals. In case you did not know, Michael Phelps is from Maryland. Just like me and like me, Michael Phelps is a huge Orioles fan.

You may not know this, but during the national anthem, Orioles fans shout out 'O' during the 'Oh say does that star spangled...' part. It's just something we do as Orioles fans. Hell, the National Anthem was written in Baltimore so we do what we want.

So during the national anthem the other night in Rio some of Michael Phelps friends, who are Orioles fans gave a very loud O. This caused Michael to lose it and burst out laughing. Nice to know the Orioles got an Olympics shoutout. Go O's!
