Let's journey through the panic attack that was my Sunday afternoon.

You may know, I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. I moved down to Texas, just so I would never miss a game. On Sundays, I go get some food before the game and then get back a little before kickoff. Crack open some beers and get ready to yell at my TV for three hours.

It was a standard Sunday, got home around 11:30 turned on Fox and saw the familiar faces of the pregame crew. Around 11:40, my TV went black. I start to freak out, but not too much. Satellite probably just lost signal, it will be fine. Change channel, no it's just the channel the Cowboys are on. The amount of expletives coming out of my mouth at this point was not pretty.

Go get the rabbit ears from the closet, hook it up to my other TV. Scan for channels ten times (Not exaggerating that number) still no FOX. I quickly turn the radio in my living room to NewsTalk 1290 to listen to the game on the radio. Yes, shameless self promotion for our sister station, but it was the only way to get updated on the game.

Since I work in the media, I know FOX and NBC are in the same building. I was hoping they would switch over to the game since it was only infomercials for Nu-wave ovens and coffee makers on that channel. That did not happen at kickoff. Needless to say I missed the kickoff and now I am pissed.

So I am sitting in my living room, listening to the game on radio like it's 1942. Dan Bailey kicks a field goal to make it 3-0. At this point, I would do a half shot to celebrate, but I am not in the mood. I say this is bulls*** and my friend starts calling people who may have the NFL package to watch the game.

Now normally Cowboys games are blacked out because they want you to watch the local channel. Thank God it was not on this day. We drive over to another house to watch the game. At some point in the second quarter, the game switched over to NBC. It was close to halftime and took far too long for this to happen.

The Cowboys vs Bills game is being re-broadcasted to KFDX on NBC due to issues with the FOX signal related to winter weather. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I don't know the process on switching the channel and I am sure it is not easy. I don't think it should take a hour and half. Believe me, I was checking at my house. According to a post on the Texoma's Homepage Facebook. The game switched over around 12:50. I couldn't tell you at what point in the game this was, but it was close to halftime. The transmitter was messing up due to weather, which we did have some insane weather this weekend.

Believe me, I am not blaming anyone at KJTL, transmitters malfunction. I think an update on the Facebook page or their other station (NBC) would have been nice. We're aware of the situation and trying to correct it kind of thing. I know I have an unhealthy obsession with the Cowboys. I got the freaking logo tattooed on my arm and just don't ever want to miss a second of the game.
