What Ever Happened to the Woman Who Got Her Face Tattooed?
A story went viral back in February regarding a Russian woman who met a man and allowed him to tattoo his name across her face just under 24 hours after they first met in person. Though the couple had met in a chat room prior to their face-to-face, it’s unclear as to how long they had been chatting before their initial meeting. Very quickly after that first encounter, her tattoo artist boyfriend Rouslan inked his name in 5-inch Gothic letters across her face in what some may call a permanent way to stake his claim. It’s been a few months since it all went down, which lead me to wonder what she’s up to now and if she’s still together with Rouslan.
A search for information lead me to a slew of articles published back in February, which didn’t do much to help me in my quest. I could have dug deeper, but then I stumbled across Lesya’s Facebook page. While I may not have found the answer I was looking for right away, her page shows a rich history.
Lesya and Rouslan have tied the knot!
The ceremony took place in France on October 11. This comes after a few months of whirlwind travels across Europe and the U.S. Lesya has had a number of photo shoots (it’s unclear who they were for), and seems to be taking the attention in stride. The couple has also set down roots in Paris, where her page states she lives now.
The couple are cat people. I knew I liked them. They have a little critter named Jesse and she has devoted a small photo album to her feline friend, plus other photos of some baby kittens who are called her “little children.”
Fans have sent in a number of photos and paintings that depict Lesya with her tattoos. Some are creepy and some are weird, but people seem to respond very positively to her transformation. She also appears to have gotten more ink since meeting Rouslan, with a colorful spread across her arm.
As for the future, Lesya has stated on her page that she’d like to have her entire body covered in tattoos. With her husband as a tattoo artist, he can probably help with that.
Here is what Lesya looked like prior to getting inked across her face:
