What better way to show your appreciation than by wrapping up Military Appreciation Night with a good old fashioned slobber-knocker that ends with the goalies going at it? That's exactly what happened when the Southern Professional Hockey League's Pensacola Ice Flyers got together with the Mississippi Surge to honor the troops.

Now I don't much about hockey but the wife and I like to make it out to catch the Wildcats or maybe even make the trip down to Big D to watch the Stars from time to time and one thing I do know is that the only time it gets louder than when there's a fight on the ice is when someone scores a goal. And let's face it, yes you need goals to win but fights are so much more entertaining.
