Halestorm's Lzzy Hale has shown her range over the years, crossing genres, singing a television theme for ESPN and taking on a wide array of cover songs. On Friday night (Nov. 23), Hale had a chance to take on one of the most familiar songs in the world -- the National Anthem -- to start off the evening as the home team Syracuse Crunch squared off against the Binghamton Devils.

Not only did Hale sing the anthem for the Crunch, but they also had a custom made jersey waiting for the singer, who sang in front of the crowd sporting her favorite number 10 with her first name emblazoned on the back. See footage of the performance below.

"Thank you so much to the @syracusecrunch for having me to SING the National Anthem tonight... what an honor," stated Hale in an Instagram posting. "Thanks also to the team for the amazing Jersey with my name and favorite number on it!!" Hale's Instagram post below has several shots of her receiving the jersey and trying it on for the first time.

After having some fun on the ice, Halestorm will head to the ballroom next. Look for the band tonight (Nov. 24) at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, with the current leg of their North American trek set to wrap on Dec. 16 in St. Petersburg, Fla. See all of their scheduled dates here.
