Volbeat’s “Live From Beyond Hell/Above Heaven” CD/DVD Looks Epic [VIDEO]

I'm new to Volbeat...I only started getting into them late last Spring when "Fallen" hit the airwaves.

I had heard the name kicked around for a little while but didn't bother to dig any deeper because I've usually got a full plate of stuff I'm listening to on a daily basis. Not that I don't have room for something good it's just that I'm fortunate in that most rock and metal is solicited to me these days so I don't have to go out and find something to listen to.

Well, earlier this year my wife and I were out with some friends and our friend Carissa was going on and on about how much she loved Volbeat and how she thought I should check 'em out. So I did and immediately thought they were pretty cool.

My first impression was musically they're very much in line with some of The Buzz's core artists like Metallica and Godsmack but I wasn't sure how receptive our listeners would be to Michael Poulsen's vocals but I figured I'd give 'em a shot and added "Fallen" to our playlist. It proved to be a good move since the tune did really well and now the new single "A Warrior's Call" is moving up the charts also.

They say Volbeat is a band you have to see live to truly experience what they're all about and since I haven't had a chance to make it out to one of their shows Live From Beyond Hell/Above Heaven will have to do for now.

Live From Beyond Hell/Above Heaven is out November 25 in Europe and we should get a North American release date soon.
