Thrashman’s Metal Pick Of The Week

I've got to say Ghost's "Opus Eponymous" is one of the best metal releases I've heard in years. It's not that the band reinvented the wheel...in fact, it's more like they took a wheel from 1985, polished it and made it like new. The first sarcastic thought that went through my mind the first time I heard it was, "These dudes don't listen to Mercyful Fate"...and that's a good thing. I'm not a "greatest hits" guy, I like great albums and "Opus Eponymous" is just that. If you dig bands like Mercyful Fate, Pentagram and Venom pick this record up...you won't be disappointed.
