'Monsters University' is the number one movie at the box office for the second week in a row.

Despite a blazing opening weekend from 'The Heat', a buddy cop comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. 'The Heat' opened up to a nice $40 million, marking the highest grossing opening weekend of any film for all three of the films key players.

Director Paul Feig, who teamed up with McCarthy on the hilarious flick 'Bridesmaids' has found himself another comedy gem. The film even marks the largest opening weekend total for America's Sweetheart Sandra Bullock. Think about that. That includes movies like 'While You Were Sleeping', 'Miss Congeniality', and 'Speed'.  Meanwhile the Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx action flick, 'White House Down' didn't do so hot. The film opened up in 4th making $25 million - significantly less than its funnier counterpart above. 'White House Down' is the second film put out by Sony THIS SUMMER to be less than successful financially. Will Smith's 'After Earth' has only made 57 million TOTAL domestically.

Here is this week's top 5:

5. Man of Steel              $20.8 Million

4. White House Down   $25.7 Million

3. World War Z             $29.8 Million

2. The Heat                  $40 Million

1. Monsters University $46.2 Million
