What the hell man? Even the system is putting down nerds. The shirt was banned for a different reason though.

It's going down Friday, new 'Star Wars' movie is coming out and everyone is excited. Even Colton Southern, who decided to wear his 'Star Wars' shirt to his junior high in Rosenberg, Texas the other day. The shirt simply says 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' with a storm trooper on it. The school has a problem with what the storm trooper is holding - a gun.

Actually a blaster rifle, which we know is not an actual real gun. A spokesperson for Lamar Consolidated Independent School District says the LCISD secondary school handbook spells out potential violations of dress code. The list includes “symbols oriented toward violence.”

Colton was told to wear his jacket the entire day, which isn't that big of a deal. Honestly, anything on a uniform that requires disciplinary action, should only come when the uniform is disrupting the class. Is this shirt considered disruptive? In my eyes, hell no. The only distraction would be, "Hey Colton, you ready for Friday?'

Colton's father said, "He's a Boy Scout, active in church, volunteers at Brazos Bend State Park. There's not a violent bone in his body. He's just an excited kid for the movie." Well Colton, I say rock some blasterless apparel and show your 'Star Wars' love all week.
