As you can imagine, a band with a name like Rumpelstiltskin Grinder doesn't take things way too seriously but when guitarist Ryan Moll called the BuzzLine for the July 28 edition of The Oath the conversation never really strayed too far from the business of playing thrash metal.

And like so many of their peers, the guys in Rumpelstiltskin Grinder have to balance their love for the metal they create with the need to put food on the table. Yeah in a perfect world (or maybe the eighties) the guys would be able to devote 100% of their time and energy into making music but that's not the case and even though they're grinding it out working day jobs, they still manage to put out top quality thrash.

The band's latest release Ghostmaker is chock full of catchy-as-hell tunes and as my on-air name would suggest, I'm quite the fan of thrash but at the same time I'm cautiously optimistic of newer bands playing the style of music I cut my teeth on as a kid. But no worries here, Rumpelstiltskin Grinder most certainly deliver the goods.
