Every now and again I'm fortunate enough to score an interview with one of the artists I grew up idolizing.

Adam Cody of North Carolina's Wretched was kind enough to lend me a few minutes for last Saturday's (4/14) edition of The Oath.
With the release of Tragic Idol on the horizon, Aaron Aedy guitarist for Paradise Lost took a few minutes of his time to take the Oath.
On March 13 Cannibal Corpse will drop their latest slab of neck-wrecking goodness in the form of their twelfth studio album, Torture and as is usually the case it'll be a late, loud night in my hood.
A whole lot of people are ready for the new Aborted album, Global Flatline and I would say that you can count me in on that except for the fact that my position nets me advance copies and I'm fortunate enough to have already wrecked my neck to the new album.
For the year-end edition of The Oath I counted down my Top 30 metal albums of 2011 and recapped some of the interviews I did over the course of the year.
It was a personal list but I based it on the amount of plays during the show and at home on iTunes (I did account for the fact that a tune from January will get more spins than one that debuted in December). So in the end it was based on data as well as my personal opinion.
In the wake of his father's death in 2009, Gregor Mackintosh of Paradise Lost fame sat down and began creating what would become Vallenfyre as a way to vent his frustrations. Skeletonwitch has a firm foothold as one of the top bands in the American metal scene right now with their recent appearance on the cover of Decibel Magazine and the excellent reviews they're getting for their new album Forever Abomination and I had the chance to get guitarist Scott Hedrick's thoughts on the new album, the band being inaccurately grouped in with the American "Re-Thrash" scene and their recent tour with Kvelertak when he called in for the November 12 edition of The Mighty Oath. Check out our conversation after the jump.
Wreck your neck every Saturday night from 10pm to 1am with the best metal on the planet…The Oath with Johnny Thrash.
Carnifex is one of the biggest bands in the underground these days...particularly with the younger crowd and vocalist Scott Lewis checked in with me on the November 5 edition of The Oath.
Some of the topics we hit on were the making of the video for "Until I Feel Nothing", the progression of the band, what bands he would most like to tour with and a whole lot more.
Ringworm have put out one of the best albums of 2011 (maybe even their career) with Scars and I was fortunate enough to get frontman James "Human Furnace" Bulloch on the line for the October 22 edition of the Mighty Oath.
