Pathology unleashed their latest batch of slamming death metal goodness The Time of Great Purification back on September 25 and vocalist Jonathan Huber gave me a holler on last Saturday's (9/29) edition of The Oath to mark the occasion.

While I'm a bigger fan of videos with a bit of a storyline, I have no problem with a bunch of dudes cramming into a small room and throwing down properly. Sometimes that is all that's necessary to get the point across and that's the case with Pathology's new video for "Tyrannical Decay".

I caught up with Pathology bassist Oscar Ramirez on the October 1 edition of The Oath. I'm pretty new to Pathology therefore so is anyone relying on me to get their metal. Oscar turned out to be a great interview and we talked a little about the history of the band, the new album Awaken To The Suffering and the band's influences among other things.

Add Pathology to the list of new bands I'm diggin' these days. I'm not typically a fan of uber-guttural vocal styles but for whatever reason Jonathan Huber's vocals appeal to me.
