Now don't get me wrong - I'm not encouraging anyone to do acid but if you're into that sort of thing remember to watch this video next time you venture off onto another plane of existence.
We're still a ways out from the new Nachtmystium album Silencing Machine, but with every new track the band puts out in advance of the release I find myself getting more and more antsy.
First things first, this is not a live video of Warbringer rolling through "Future Ages Gone" in their jam pad. While the footage is no doubt genuine shots of the band practicing, the audio is clearly not from the same session but the video is still worth checking out.
Barney Greenway of Napalm Death will join me on tomorrow night's (3/3) edition of The Oath and just in time, the band has released the official video for "Analysis Paralysis".
Vallenfyre have resurrected the late 80's / early 90's death doom sound made famous by bands like Grave, Entombed and Dismember and have managed to create a huge buzz in the metal underground in the process.
A whole lot of people are ready for the new Aborted album, Global Flatline and I would say that you can count me in on that except for the fact that my position nets me advance copies and I'm fortunate enough to have already wrecked my neck to the new album.
Just in time for my visit with Sven, Aborted have released the official video for "Origin of Disease". There's not really much to say that wasn't covered in the headline so enjoy Aborted throwing down while a priest prepares to deflower a young lady.
Okay, okay...so I get my wallet chains and the occasional vinyl from Hot Topic, but let's face it - kind of like the Twilight movies, Hot Topic is not taken very seriously in most circles comprised of individuals over the age of eighteen. As the saying goes, "It is what it is."
Man I'm getting deeper and deeper into Vallenfyre with every listen to their new album A Fragile King.
Their timing is perfect in that typically I listen heavily to three or four albums at a time and they're usually all from different genres and right now, Vallenfyre's got the old school doom/death metal covered as far as my stereo goes.
Okay so I'm new to Vildhjarta but they're apparently a bit of a big deal in their home country of Sweden so I figured I better check 'em out.
Upon first impression it would appear that the band could possibly be successors to (who I would be shocked if they didn't look up to) Meshuggah...
