Soundgarden’s Headed To The Studio In About A Week

Getty Images

According to Spin.com, Soundgarden will head into a Seattle studio in about a week to record their first album in 15 years. This is definitely good news to me, but honestly I’m a little nervous about the outcome. Badmotorfinger is one of my favorite albums of all time and don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect them to ever do anything as good as said album again but Down On The Upside was slow and dull in comparison. That’s not anything unusual as bands tend to mellow with age…the only problem is that album came out 15 years ago. Hopefully, they’ll channel some of the aggression of their early years and put out an ass-kicker of a record. We’ll see.
