Slash Won’t Rule Out Guns N’ Roses Reunion

While Slash and Axl Rose have had a very tumultuous relationship (if you can even call not talking to each other a ‘relationship’) in the years since Slash parted ways with Guns N’ Roses, the guitarist won’t rule out the idea of a reunion at some point.

On a new episode of the ‘Larry King Now’ online show, Slash sat down with Larry King to discuss his career and of course, the one question that always seems to be raised in one form or another: “Is there a possibility that you’ll all get together one day?”

Slash took his time formulating an answer, saying, “That’s the $64,000 question.” He continued, “It’s not something that any of us have reached out to each other and said that we wanted to do thus far. So, rather than be a pessimist and say, ‘No, it’ll never happen,’ it’s not like I’m harboring a lot of resentment. But it’s just not something that we’re all thinking about doing.”

He wrapped it up, leaving the door open to the idea, saying, “So if it happens one day, it happens. If it doesn’t, I don’t think anybody’s, you know, losing any sleep over it.” Check out the full clip above.

So while not exactly a ringing endorsement for a Guns N’ Roses reunion any time soon, Slash is at least open to the idea of a reunion of the classic lineup. Now if someone could get Rose on the same page we’d be in business!

During the interview King also asked Slash about the state of rock and more specifically, “Is Rock n’ roll dying?” Slash, holding the torch high responded, “Rock n’ roll never dies, it’s more of an attitude, to me.” Rock on Slash!
