Slash and his cohorts Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators are not only chewing up the pavement, but they're also going to be adding to their frequent flier miles. The band has just announced a new batch of tour dates supporting their World on Fire album that will find them playing not only in North America, but also Down Under, in South America and also in Europe.

The group settles in at New Zealand's TSB Bank Arena in Wellington Central tomorrow (Feb. 18) to kick off a string of "down under" dates that also includes Australia's traveling Soundwave Festival. Then, it's off to Santiago, Chile on March 4 to kick off a batch of South American shows.

The band will make their way north into Mexico in late March, then catch a breather before starting a U.S. trek in late April. Dates begin April 25 in Orlando, Fla. and run through May 23 in Houston with a number of major festivals scattered in the midst of the trek. The group will then get about a week's break before flying off to Europe for the beginning of festival season.

Tickets for the U.S. shows are on sale now at Slash's website, with additional shows expected to be announced next week.

"The World on Fire tour has been nothing short of awesome," says Slash of his experience so far. "I can't wait to jump on these U.S. festivals in May, as well as mix in our headlining show for a bunch of dates along the way."
