System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian has been busy of late lending his talents for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X video game. Gaming fans who've been watching TV in the last couple of weeks have likely already seen a new TV spot featuring System of a Down's "Chop Suey" promoting the game, but that's just the first teaser. Now Odadjian has directed a trailer showing more of the game play for the latest Mortal Kombat edition.

In the video above, you can hear the System song cut perfectly with a few breaks to give you the full depth of the gaming experience. Check out the intricate details of the characters as they prepare to do battle with brutal results all while "Chop Suey" pushes the pace.

In another video, seen below, Odadjian delves into the creative process of putting the launch trailer together. "This song is really, really strong and I was excited because I love the game," says the bassist/director. "This is like making the song even crazier. 'Wake Up [mimicks crunching sound of video game action]' It adds to the song. It's actually re-editing the song."

"Editing it was so much fun just because there's so much to use," adds Odadjian. "I felt more like I was editing a movie. I kind of forgot that it was a video game during the edit. Fans and gamers are gonna love this. It's top notch."

The Mortal Kombat X video game officially arrives for a variety of platforms on April 14.
