Sebastian Bach and Steve Stevens Perform Hits From Van Halen, Billy Idol + More at NYC Gig
Sebastian Bach and Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens recently joined forces for a special three night run at The Iridium in New York City. They were backed by by Neil Jason on bass, Anton Fig on drums and Pete Thorn on guitar.
Each night consisted of the pair doing two sets of songs ranging from Skid Row tunes to Billy Idol hits to their favorite cover songs. From the Billy Idol catalog, the duo performed ‘Rebel Yell,’ with Steve Stevens introducing it, saying, “I can’t come to New York and not play ‘Rebel Yell.’”
Building on the current Van Halen excitement, they also played the VH classic ‘Hot For Teacher.’ Bach asked fans for a little help at the beginning, “You guys, help me out on this breakdown, because I feel really silly going, ‘I don’t feel tardy!’”
Bach first met Stevens at a Camp Freddy show and always wanted to jam with him. Camp Freddy is the Hollywood cover band featuring a who’s who of rock greats from Billy Morrison to Dave Navarro to Matt Sorum, a virtual revolving door of rock ‘n’ roll greats have joined them on stage over the years, Bach being one of them.
There’s one more run of shows tonight at The Iridium tonight (Jan. 29) if you’re in the New York City area and want to check it out.
