Rolling Stone’s Top 10 Albums Of The 80′s
Readers of Rolling Stone voted U2′s Joshua Tree the Number 1 album of the 80′s followed by Guns N’ Roses Appetite For Destruction in a recent poll conducted by the magazine. Usually I ignore anything that comes out of Rolling Stone because I just don’t feel like they’re in touch with the times and when they do finally get around to covering a band magazines like Decibel and Revolver have been covering for years they act like they broke the band. But, since we’re talking about the 80′s then I guess they’re kinda relevant. Anyway…here’s their Top 10:
1. U2 – The Joshua Tree
2. Guns N’ Roses – Appetite For Destruction
3. Michael Jackson – Thriller
4. Bruce Springsteen – Born In The U.S.A.
5. Prince – Purple Rain
6. AC/DC – Back In Black
7. The Smiths – The Queen Is Dead
8. The Clash – London Calling
9. The Cure – Disintegration
10. Metallica – Master Of Puppets
