Rob Zombie Releases Official Video for ‘Dead City Radio’

Rob Zombie has released the official video for the single “Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Supertown.” The single is from the album Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, due in stores on April 23. In the video we see Zombie hanging out with dancing skeletons, people in animal costumes, and strange performances by a string of characters. Zombie’s wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, also makes an appearance.

When asked what kind of sound we can expect on the new album, Zombie said:

The biggest thing was I wanted the record to be -- we would always say, 'We want it heavy, but we don't want it heavy metal.' So at no time would it sound like heavy metal guitars or a heavy metal approach. We were like, 'What would Deep Purple do?', you know, and they would bring in a Hammond organ. So we would do things like that, just to get that old school kind of heaviness, you know, that would sound like it was recorded in 1972 or something -- without sounding retro. That was the balancing act.

This is a busy month for Rob Zombie. In addition to the release of the new album, his long awaited film The Lords of Salem will be out in limited release on April 19.
