Oh hey, Rob Schneider's still alive.

"Saturday Night Live" Alumni Rob Scheider appeared on Politichicks yesterday discussing his reasons for no longer considering himself a Democrat, citing the Democratic supermajority in California as the reason he hasn't made a movie there in seven years.

The state of California is a mess,” according to Schneider, “and the supermajority of Democrats is not working. I’ve been a lifelong Democrat and I have to switch over because it no longer serves the people of this great state. We need to have a new voice. We need to have a new direction, and we need to break the supermajority. It isn’t helping with jobs.

The last time I made a movie in California was seven years ago,” he said. “And that’s because we’re not being competitive. I own a vitamin company with my friend and we moved out of state because of overregulation. It isn’t helping businesses.

Unfortunately, no matter if Schneider has a point or not, no one is going to take him seriously.  Blaming the Democrats for not making a movie a California?  How about the fact that Schneider is a bad actor who hasn't had a major starring role since Deuce Bigalow: European Jigalow, his TV show was cancelled after eight episodes, and his major release movies since 2005 were all bit parts in films from his buddy Adam Sandler.

What do you think?  Taking Schneider seriously, or does he seem like a petty washed up actor?
