Super Bowl XLVIII is only a couple weeks away and if Peyton Manning and his Denver Broncos taking on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks wasn't enough to get you excited, maybe the halftime show can do it for you.

It has been announced that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have been invited to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show alongside Bruno Mars. The announcement was made last weekend during Fox's NFC Divisional Round playoff game.

No doubt millions of people will be watching the game just so they can see the halftime performance, which brought in around 110.5 million viewers last year.

The actual Super Bowl game promises to be a good one as well, with the Broncos (13-3) and the Seahawks (13-3) both being the No. 1 seed in each of their conferences.

The two teams will face off on February 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
