Queens of the Stone Age are working on a new album and in the spirit of the legendary Spinal Tap, they've filmed a mockumentary called 'Secrets of the Sound' to mark the occasion. To really add to the ridiculousness of the whole thing, the band enlisted the hilariously dry and ill-informed Matt Berry and Steve Agee to host the video.

While most of the members of the band won't be bothered with the guys' questions, main man Josh Homme is more than open and reveals the fact that he comes from a long line of knife throwers, is the president of the Encino chapter of the Patrick Swayze Fan Club and that the band uses an actual severed human ear sacrificed by a fan for recording so the sound that comes through your speakers replicates that of an ear.

No, you won't learn anything about the new album or anything else for that matter but it's worth taking a break from whatever the hell it is you're doing to have a laugh and get amped up for some new QOTSA tunes.
