Prosecutor Drops Joint in Front of Cops

A city prosecutor is in hot water this week in New Orleans – it seems while having a casual conversation with a couple of cops, a joint fell out of the guy’s pocket.
To make matters worse, cops were seen chuckling at the whole incident as the lawyer was led out of court.
Jason Cantrell was “cited and let go under a city policy for low-level marijuana cases,” but it’s not as easy as a slap on the wrist. The attorney has resigned, and his wife, who is running for City Council, has had to apologize for him. LaToya Cantrell had this to say:
I absolutely do not condone his actions. I love my husband unconditionally and am very concerned for his health and well-being, and for that of our family. I hope that this incident will encourage Jason to seek the professional help.
Is anyone else wondering if she’s smoking up after a long day, but for obvious reasons can’t admit to it?
